Abstract- This research paper explores the animistic beliefs and nature connection in Native American spirituality, examining the profound and intricate worldview that characterizes many indigenous cultures across North America. The study delves into various aspects of Native American spiritual traditions, including the concept of interconnectedness, perceptions of time and space, integration of spirituality in daily life, reverence for sacred places, animal spirits and totems, the role of dreams and visions, ceremonial practices, creation stories, and the emphasis on balance and harmony. Through an analysis of diverse tribal perspectives, the paper highlights the holistic approach to life where the spiritual and physical realms are seamlessly interwoven. This research reveals how Native American animism fosters a deep sense of responsibility towards the environment and all its inhabitants, promoting sustainable practices that predate modern ecological movements. The paper also examines the challenges faced by these traditions due to colonization and modernization, as well as their resilience and adaptation in contemporary times. By contrasting Native American spiritual perspectives with dominant Western paradigms, this study offers valuable insights for addressing current environmental crises and spiritual disconnection. The research concludes that the animistic beliefs of Native Americans provide a powerful alternative to the often compartmentalized and hierarchical worldviews of Western cultures, presenting a model of existence where all beings are respected and the well-being of one is inextricably linked to the well-being of all.
