Abstract- Large-scale industrial projects frequently have a significant socioeconomic impact on nearby towns, especially when it comes to social development, employment, and income production. The socio-economic effects of the Mangala Oil and Gas Project, which is located in Rajasthan, India’s Barmer region, are examined in this paper. This study aims to assess the project’s direct and indirect effects on local inhabitants’ lives by examining the demographic profile of the community, including age, income levels, job status, and education. Surveys and interviews with local families, project employees, and community leaders were used to gather data. The results demonstrate the disparities in socioeconomic outcomes according to variables including gender, education, and rural-urban divisions.
