Abstract: The Modern Dolphin Theory proposes a theoretical framework for understanding intelligent problem-solving and effective communication through cooperation, adaptability, and collective decision-making. Inspired by the highly social and cooperative behavior observed in dolphins, the framework conceptualizes intelligence not merely as an individual cognitive capacity but as a distributed and collaborative process. It examines how communication, information sharing, social learning, mutual assistance, and coordinated action can contribute to solving complex problems in dynamic environments. The theory emphasizes adaptability as a central mechanism through which individuals and groups respond to uncertainty, changing conditions, and competing demands. Furthermore, it explores how collective decision-making can integrate diverse perspectives, reduce individual limitations, and improve the efficiency and resilience of group-level outcomes. By connecting concepts from cognitive science, behavioral studies, communication theory, systems thinking, and collective intelligence, the Modern Dolphin Theory provides a conceptual model for analyzing cooperative intelligence in both biological and human contexts. The framework may offer useful insights for organizational collaboration, human–machine interaction, adaptive systems, leadership, and intelligent decision-support environments. Rather than presenting dolphin behavior as direct evidence of a universal intelligence model, the theory uses it as a conceptual inspiration for investigating how cooperation and communication can enhance collective adaptability and problem-solving.
