Abstract: The mitigation of climate change increasingly relies on the intersection of two transformative elements: green technology (GreenTech) and digital innovation. This paper investigates the integration of digital solutions such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, cloud computing, and digital twins with renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, smart transportation, and green finance to expedite climate action. Employing a mixed-methods approach that merges a structured literature review with a survey-based analysis involving 240 organizations across six sectors, the study delineates an eight-year growth trajectory (2018-2025) in renewable energy capacity, the adoption of digital climate technologies, and investments in green technology, while also identifying the sector-specific patterns and obstacles influencing adoption. The findings reveal that the adoption of digital climate technologies has outpaced the growth of renewable energy capacity itself, primarily propelled by AI-driven analytics and IoT sensor networks within the energy, transportation, and urban planning sectors, whereas blockchain-based tracking remains in its infancy. Significant barriers to broader adoption include high initial costs, a lack of skilled personnel, and issues related to data interoperability. The paper concludes with recommendations at both policy and enterprise levels aimed at fostering an inclusive and resilient green-digital transition, and it suggests avenues for future research.
