Reskilling and Upskilling Education – Preparing for Future Workforce

Abstract- This paper aims to critically discuss the need for reskilling and upskilling of workforce with knowledge, skills and competencies that will be needed due to rapid technological revolution and changing work environment. change is an inevitable and natural part of life. even if we try to stand still, change is swirling all around us and it always pulls us in its wake. change is inevitable. we don’t have to make any decision for change to happen. it happens with or without our consent. to be with change, reskilling and upskilling needs to be done. this process is like a tress. old leaves, branches, fruits give way to ne ones but the tree still survives for ages. we have to think like that also. we as human beings also need to get rid of old skills, knowledge and competencies and embrace new ones to meet the current and future demands in every sphere of live technology has changed the world so rapidly. new skills, knowledge and competencies are needed to survive in this technology driven world. how can we do that? by reskilling and upskilling we can remain relevant and effective.
