Abstract- Tiktok app is now the most addictive streaming platform, individuals, especially adolescents are now more immersed in this app as there are a lot of contents they find entertaining and engaging. However, many people don’t have any idea about its effect on the users and how this Tiktok could cause addictive behavior. This research investigates the impact of TikTok addiction on adolescents’ lifestyles, particularly its effects on mental health. The presented study examines the relationship between TikTok Addiction and Mental Health among 31 first-year students enrolled under the Department of School of Education, Arts and Science (SEAS) at National University Baliwag, aged 18-19 years old. The group conducted a purposive sampling for the data collection for the correlational research approach. Moreover, the group utilized online platforms to distribute an online survey and collect data and used Jamovi statistics software in investigating the relationship of TikTok Addiction and Mental Health. On the contrary of the earlier studies presented along this paper, the result of the data indicates that there is a significant difference between depression and stress concerning TikTok addiction. However, anxiety does not show a significant correlation with TikTok addiction. This study emphasizes how important it is to raise awareness of the possible harm that excessive TikTok usage may cause to one’s mental health. Adolescents’ emotional health may suffer from excessive use of social media. Future studies ought to seek into possible interventions to encourage young people to use social media responsibly as well as the underlying mechanisms resulting in these effects.
