Abstract- This paper focuses on the syntactic and semantic differences between verbs of speech in the original Arabic version of Surah Al- Mujadila and the English translated version. Verbs of speech in Surah Al-Mujadila have various syntactic forms with various semantic components. The English-translated version of this surah uses different English verb forms in an attempt to reach an inclusive degree of equivalence and decreasing the loss of the original meaning. Using diverse verbs of speech in Arabic entails engaging in various talk communication actions. When used in different contexts, a verb can sometimes take on a distinct meaning.
