Abstract: Rabindranath Tagore (1861–1941), a polymath from Bengal, transformed Indian literature, education, art, and philosophy with his creative brilliance and deep commitment to universal human values. Rabindranath Tagore was a visionary thinker and writer who championed universal humanism and played a key role in the literary renaissance of Bengal and India. His work, deeply rooted in Indian culture, also embraced a global perspective, advocating for interconnectedness and mutual respect among all people. He was a poet, philosopher, educator, and social reformer, whose contributions to literature, music, and art continue to inspire today. He was the first Asian Nobel Laureate and a prophetic voice for cultural synthesis, spiritual freedom, and educational innovation. This research paper explores Tagore's literary contributions, his philosophy of education, social reform, nationalism, and his role as a global intellectual. It re-evaluates his thought in the context of the 21st-century debates on nationalism, intercultural dialogue, and peacebuilding.
