Abstract: Food security remains a pressing concern in Africa, particularly in rural areas like Mungwi District, Zambia. This study examines the current status of food security, identifies key factors affecting it, and evaluates the effectiveness of current strategies and policies. Our findings highlight the complex interplay of socio-economic, environmental, and policy factors contributing to food insecurity. We recommend a multi-stakeholder approach to enhance food security, promote sustainable agriculture, and improve livelihoods.
