Abstract: Mental health is a vital component of overall well-being, encompassing emotional, psychological, and social dimensions. In the contemporary world, rapid urbanization, technological advancement, and socio-economic changes have intensified stress, anxiety, and emotional instability across populations. Mental health challenges are shaped by a complex interaction of biological, social, and environmental factors, including poverty, inequality, trauma, and lack of access to healthcare. Despite increasing awareness, stigma and inadequate infrastructure continue to limit effective diagnosis and treatment, particularly in developing countries like India. Rising concerns such as anger, burnout, and youth mental distress reflect deeper structural and societal pressures. Academic stress, family environment, and social expectations significantly influence the mental well-being of young individuals. Additionally, workforce challenges, including burnout and resource constraints, further weaken mental health systems. Addressing these issues requires a comprehensive approach involving prevention, early intervention, and accessible treatment. Strengthening community support, integrating mental health into primary care, promoting awareness, and implementing policy reforms are essential steps. A holistic and inclusive framework is necessary to improve mental health outcomes and ensure sustainable well-being in an increasingly complex global environment.
