Abstract: Maternal healthcare remains a paramount public health priority, particularly within rural, urban slum, and underserved communities where pregnant women encounter multifaceted structural, economic, and informational barriers. Limited healthcare ity, financial constraints, excessive transit distances, prolonged facility waiting times, informational deficits, and low health literacy severely compromise antenatal care (ANC) utilization and perinatal outcomes. Concurrently, the proliferation of digital health and mobile health (mHealth) paradigms offers transformative mechanisms to supplement traditional healthcare delivery via mobile-enabled health education, remote teleconsultations, automated reminders, and clinical decision support. Thisaccess! comprehensive review synthesizes findings across three core domains extracted from contemporary literature: structural healthcare access barriers, mHealth-driven health promotion, and macro-level digital health interventions. By critically examining pivotal studies by Shrivastava et al., Small et al., and Guerrero et al., this paper elucidates the manifold benefits, systemic challenges (including shared device ownership, digital literacy gaps, and privacy vulnerabilities), and future developmental vectors required for scalable, equitable, and sustainable digital maternal health integration.
