To Determine the Impact of Stress on Teacher and Learner Performance: A Case Study of Three Selected Public Secondary Schools in Kasama District of Northern Province of Zambia

Abstract: This study examines the impact of stress on both teacher and learner performance in three selected public secondary schools in Kasama District, Northern Province of Zambia. Using a mixed-methods descriptive survey, the study collects data through questionnaires and interviews from a sample of 66 respondents. Findings reveal that stress significantly affects teacher productivity and learner outcomes. Causes of stress include poor working conditions, job insecurity, excessive workloads, and inadequate financial support. The study recommends systemic support mechanisms for teachers to improve educational delivery and learner performance.
