Abstract: The Skill Barter Platform is a web-based application designed to help individuals exchange skills and knowledge without requiring monetary transactions. In today's digital world, many people possess valuable skills but lack the financial resources to learn new ones or access professional training. This platform addresses this problem by creating a collaborative environment where users can share their expertise and learn from others in return. Users can register, create profiles, list the skills they can teach, and specify the skills they want to learn. The system matches users based on their skills, interests, and learning requirements, enabling mutually beneficial skill exchanges. For example, a person skilled in Python programming can teach another user in exchange for learning web development, graphic design, or communication skills. The platform encourages peer-to-peer learning, collaboration, and community engagement while reducing dependence on expensive courses and training programs. It can include features such as user authentication, skill search, matching mechanisms, messaging, ratings, and feedback to improve trust and user experience. The proposed system aims to make skill development more accessible, affordable, and flexible for students, job seekers, and professionals. Overall, the platform offers an innovative approach to learning by transforming individual expertise into a shared resource and creating a community where everyone can teach, learn, and grow together. However, many learners face difficulties in accessing affordable skill development opportunities, finding suitable learning partners, and exchanging knowledge based on their individual abilities. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a Skill Barter Platform, a digital system that enables users to exchange skills and knowledge without requiring direct monetary payment. The platform follows a skill-for-skill exchange model, where users can offer their expertise in one area and receive learning support in another based on mutual requirements. Future enhancements may include intelligent skill matching, recommendation systems, skill verification, and AI-assisted learning support to improve personalization, trust, and overall platform effectiveness.
